Handbook

Articles Prohibited

Toys, trinkets, pets and any other similar items are to be left at home, unless requested by the teacher.

We understand many parents want their child to have a cell phone for emergencies, but if one is seen at school or on the bus and disrupts the class, it will be taken up and given to the office.  The parent will have to come to school to pick up the cell phone or send money to have it shipped home.  If the cell phone is taken up a second time it will be kept in the office until the end of the school year.

Trading cards of any type (baseball, football, basketball, etc.) are not to be brought to school.  These will be taken up from the student and kept in the office until the end of the school year and then returned to the parent/guardian.

Students may not chew gum while at school.

Students should not bring candy to school.

Valuable jewelry or items and extra money are to be left at home.  Neither the school nor the teachers will be responsible for lost or stolen items.

Dangerous weapons are prohibited on school grounds.  Knives, metal objects, sharp pointed objects, fireworks, guns (including BB, water, or toy guns) or any items similar will not be brought to school.  Punishment for bringing these items to school will be suspension or expulsion.
