Programs that provide funds back to the school

The Sumner County School Board approved a revision to the school year calendar on February 16:
Students will now attend classes on March
11 and March 12. New TCAP Testing Dates will be April 20, 21, 22, 23 - No make-up date so students need to be present for testing (Grades 3,4,5)

Report Cards go home - March 22
Many Sumner County Schools have begun to use CheckCare to help obtain funds on returned checks. Clyde Riggs will begin using them immediately to handle return checks. Your check is welcome, however, we have had many checks returned to the school. If your check is returned, it may be re-presented electronically. You authorize service charges and processing fees, as permitted by state law, to be debited from the same account by paper draft or electronically, at CheckCare's option. Please look at events monthly calendar for more activities. The Panther School Bank will again be open on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month when school begins. If you have any questions about the school bank please contact Volunteer State Bank. Test taking strategies for Students, Parents, and Teachers: To receive info about the Adult Education GED Program call 451-5418. Remember to help our library by working with Mrs. Greer by providing birthday books or a book in honor/memory of someone special to you. Contact Mrs. Greer for details. Office Depot will donate 5% of qualifying purchases (school supplies) to use for free supplies for the school if you use the following school ID number - 70093850 Target Stores also donate a portion of sales to our school when
you designate Clyde Riggs to receive the donation. Please ask about
this program the next time you shop at Target.
