Handbook Parties
Parents are requested to help sponsor seasonal class parties for students. Treats and games will be enjoyed these special occasions. Other special events will be scheduled as appropriate. Parents should make arrangements with the classroom teacher if they are going to bring birthday treats. Under the system's new Wellness Policy birthday treats will be limited to one time per month for each classroom. Individual classes will recognize students on their birthday, but sweet treats are not not allowed other than the one day set by the teacher. The new Wellness Policy is multi-faceted and you will be notified of this policy when approved by the board of education. Clyde Riggs has three school-wide days set aside for parties (winter break, Valentine's and end of the year).
