Handbook Tobacco Policy
Students shall not use or possess tobacco products in any form while on school property, attending or participating in a school-sponsored event, while on school buses to and from school, or on school buses to and from school-sponsored events. On the first offense a student shall automatically be given a three-day out of school suspension. On the second offense the student shall automatically be given a five-day out of school suspension. On the third offense the student shall be required to appear before the Disciplinary Hearing Authority. A booklet of important policies will be provided by the Sumner County Board of Education. A signature page will be provided and requests that the student and parent sign the page to show you have read and understand the policies. There is a no smoking policy on school grounds during school hours or at school functions for all adults.
