Handbook Inclement Weather
If adverse weather conditions exist before school begins and the Director of Schools decides the weather to be of such a nature that the safety of the students is threatened he will close schools. School will not be dismissed because of weather conditions that arise during the school day as long as it is feasible for students and staff to remain safely at school. If a situation arises where an early dismissal is needed, the Director of Schools will make the decision to close schools. Students will follow instructions set by their parent or guardian in the Early Dismissal information filed during fall registration Please keep it up to date. The staff will not call home at time of dismissal. The Director of Schools will notify the following radio/TV stations to have a school-closing announcement broadcast: WHIN – 1010 am WQKR – 1270 am WKRN – channel 2 WSMV – channel 4 WTVF – channel 5
